April is National Stress Awareness Month, and boy do we need it. According to the American Psychological Association (2010), a majority of Americans experience moderate or high levels of stress, but are "stymied in their efforts to make changes."
And although science is increasingly showing the benefits of meditation for stress relief, many people have trouble getting started or even finding time for it. And for someone who is already stressed, even the thought, "I should learn to meditate," can be stressful.
Martin Boroson, author of One-Moment Meditation: Stillness for People on the Go, has been quietly, radically changing the way we think about meditation - helping tens of thousands of people get started meditating and integrate it into their lives. His core message is that meditation doesn't have to take a lot of time - it only takes a moment.
