– Video Services Corp (VSC) presents the horror anthology The ABCs of Death screening as part of the newly formed and extremely popular series, Sinister Cinema, Thursday May 23.

Paper Magazine called ABC’s of Death "Sesame Street for psychopaths", and it was the closing night picture at TIFF 2013’s Midnight Madness. It will be screening in 25 Cineplex Theatres across the country as part of Raven Banner and the chain’s Front Row Centre specialty series.

“V is for Vagitus" segment actress Kyra Zagorsky will be in attendance at the May 23 screening at the Cineplex International Village in Vancouver.

“V is for Vagitus” segment director Kaare Andrews is available for interviews.

“Y is for Youngbuck” director Jason Eisner is also available for interviews.

The ABC’s of Death is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived, with productions spanning 15 countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary genre film. Inspired by children’s educational books, the motion picture is comprised of 26 individual chapters; each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death. Provocative, shocking, funny and ultimately confrontational, The ABC’s of Death is the definitive vision of modern horror diversity.

The directors include Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl), Andrew Traucki (The Reef), Ti West (The House of the Devil), Jon Schnepp (TV's "Metalocalypse"), and Jason Eisner (Hobo With a Shotgun).

"We're excited to have our first of hopefully many films included in the Sinister Cinema program." Declared VSC President Jonathan Gross. "We're confident that The ABCs of Death will satisfy genre fans and we're thrilled to have this opportunity to bring the film to fans across the country."

Tickets for the May 23 presentation are available now at participating theatre box offices and online at cineplex.com/sinistercinema. For a complete list of participating theatres: cineplex.com/Events/Sinistercinema/ParticipatingTheatres.
