2 crescent roll tubes
1 LB ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
1 or 2 diced tomatoes depending on size
1/2 small can Olives (sliced) (Avocado, Sour cream etc)

2. Brown meat in a frying pan until no longer pink. Drain fat and add taco seasoning as directed on package, reducing the water to a scant 1/3 cup from the 1/2 cup called for. Drain excess liquid from meat.
3. Sprinkle meat mixture in a circle inside the crescent rolls, then sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese over the meat. Pull crescent roll points over meat and cheese and tuck in.

Bake at 350 degrees until pastry is golden brown (30 min).

4. Add remaining 1/2 cup of cheese, chopped lettuce, tomato, black olives, and jalapenos (if using), into the middle of the ring, then add a few dollops of sour cream if desired, before serving.

How To Make Natural Ginger Ale

gingerale
It turns out that soda hasn’t always been the high fructose corn syrup and artificial flavor concoction in an aluminum can that we know today.
For hundreds of years (and probably much longer) cultures around the world have made various forms of naturally fermented “sodas” from sweetened herbal teas or fruit juice mixes. These natural fermented drinks contained beneficial enzymes and probiotics to boost health and were a far cry from the unhealthy versions we have today.

This version uses a fermented ginger culture to create a naturally fizzy soda! Ginger is and delicious herb that has been used in many cultures for its health-boosting

Ingredients
-A 1-2 inch piece of fresh ginger root, minced. Adjust this to taste. I use 2 inches as I prefer a stronger ginger taste.
-½ cup of organic sugar or rapadura sugar. if using plain sugar, add 1 tablespoon molasses for flavor and minerals.
-½ cup fresh lemon or lime juice
-½ tsp sea salt or himalayan salt
-8 cups of filtered (chlorine free) water (Here is the water filter we use)
-½ cup homemade ginger bug (or can use ¼ cup whey for a faster recipe though the flavor won’t be quite as good. Here is a tutorial for how to make whey)

What else do you use ginger for? Check out the top 5 uses for ginger:

1. Ginger as an Immune Booster

“Ginger is a natural immune booster and is considered to be a “hot spice”-meaning that, when ingested, it quickly has a warming effect on the human body. Ever heard that old saying “you have to sweat it out?” Well, this is where that saying comes from. Consuming ginger causes the body to sweat. The sweat glands produce a compound which, in turn, protects the skin from infection. Ginger also induces healthy sweating, which is extremely helpful once you are inflicted with a cold or the flu!

2. Ginger as an Anti-Inflammatory Agent

Ginger has also been found to relieve arthritis-related joint pain. Ginger contains anti-inflammatory agents, which help reduce swelling around inflamed joints. Many people with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis seem to greatly benefit from consuming ginger. (3)”

3. Cold and Flu Prevention

“Ginger has been used for thousands of years as a natural treatment for colds and flu around Asia. The University of Maryland Medical Center states that to treat cold and flu symptoms in adults, steep 2 tbsp. of freshly shredded or chopped ginger root in hot water, two to three times a day.

4. Colon Cancer Prevention

A study at the University of Minnesota found that ginger may slow the growth of colorectal cancer cells.

Ovarian Cancer Treatment. Ginger powder induces cell death in ovarian cancer cells.
